How to Setup an On-Demand Video Campaign

Campaign Settings

Campaigns are used to display On-Demand content on your website. Following 5 simple steps you need to pull together your Video Assets and Player and specify any settings.

Step 1: Asset

This is where you select your Video or Playlist (a collection of videos). If you're yet to upload your first video, see here.

Step 2: Settings

General:

Title - Give your campaign a title for your reference.

Description - Add a brief description of your campaign.

Availability:

These settings limit who can view your campaign and are used when you want to control who can watch your video content or where it can be displayed. In most cases, and if you're unsure, these can be left blank.

IPs - Here you can add multiple IPs (one per line) that can view your content, all others will be denied.

Referrers - Here you can control where your campaign can be displayed. This enables you to prevent other people from embedding your campaign in their own website. Add your domain here, and all others will be denied.

Countries - Here you can select which countries can view your campaign, all others will be denied.

Step 3: Player

This is where you select the player you want to use with your campaign. These can be created and edited in your Asset Library under Players. All accounts come with a default player, if this is your first campaign you can use this for now and change it later.

Step 4: Location

This is where you obtain the embed code needed to place your video or playlist on your website.

Publish on webpage: This refers to the Webpages in your Asset Library. These are generally used by those who do not have their own website and for previewing your campaign within your account - for this reason you must select a template to proceed. If you are familiar with HTML you can edit your templates to suit your brand.

Get Script: This is the JScript for embedding your player. It is the more technical way of adding video to your website, but it is also more robust. The script tags should be placed in the <head> of your website and the embed code in the <body> where you would like the player to appear.

Get Iframe: This is a more simple and flexible option for adding your video to your website (and other places that allow HTML input). It is a good option if you're new to code or have limited access to the design of your website. Just copy and paste the code into where you would like the video to appear.

Step 5: Publish

IMPORTANT - This step must be completed in order to set your campaign live, if you don't some aspects of your campaign may not work.

When you're happy with your setup, just click the big 'Publish My Campaign' button.
